Bigger & Better Than Ever!

The Palmerston Markets are a family orientated non-profit association. Now in it's 36th year, the markets have really come of age with something for everyone. Located in the heart of Palmerston's CBD, the markets centre of activity is Goyder Square, which is close to the Palmerston Shopping Centre and a short stroll from the main bus interchange.

The markets operate from the last Friday in April to the last Friday in October, which covers the top ends beautiful dry season.

Located in Palmerston's Goyder Square and adapting to the ever changing landscape of the Palmerston CBD, the markets have always used Goyder Square as a centre for activities and entertainment, sharing it with the thousands of Rainbow Lorikeets who also call it home.

Every Friday evening the markets provide live entertainment, ranging from multicultural dancers, country and western bands, mainstream bands and a DJ who entertains the kids with their favourite music, clowns also put on a show with games and competitions and lots of prizes to give away.

The Palmerston Market stalls are a snapshot of the Palmerston and rural area community in general, with origins from Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, Italy, Greece, Philippines, Australia, England and many more. The markets are a great example of how people from different backgrounds can live and work together in harmony.

We have over 60 stalls selling everything from hot food, cold food, drinks, desserts, fresh fruit and veg, art, handicrafts, kids rides, novelty items, jewelry, plants and body massages. The more relaxed atmosphere of the Palmerston Markets ensures a more enjoyable evening for the whole family.

Palmerston Markets Stall Applications

The Palmerston Markets has a number of different stall options available to the general public for trading goods and services, all stalls that intend to sell foodstuffs must provide a copy of a health permit and insurance at a minimum. Stall applications will be available around Feb-March 2023.
